If you believe the rumors that were floating around yesterday thanks in large part to this report from ESPN, the Bears could be a perfect fit for Owens should the Bills decided to trade their high priced wideout. While the baggage that comes along with a guy like Owens cannot be denied, is there a chance his talents could make it worth the risk?

Much has been made of the decline in T.O.'s production, but let's face it. Even on his worst day, Owens looks like Jerry Rice compared to the rest of our receivers.

Having T.O. come to Chicago would be like Christmas coming early to both papers in the city. He's the gift that keeps on giving.
8. Something to Prove
A motivated T.O. is the only way this thing would work. He'd be coming from a team that made him look like a washed up wideout that wasn't worth the trouble. Suit him up in Bears blue and you'd get a guy that's hopefully ready to kill himself to prove otherwise.
7. Cutler's Go To
The second T.O. steps off the plane he'd instantly become Cutler's primary option in the passing game. His combination of size and speed is a rare commodity in the NFL, even rarer for this franchise.
6. Better Blocker
One of the most underrated aspects of being a premier receiver in the NFL is a player's ability to block. Considering the majority of cornerbacks are a bit wirey and built for speed, Owens muscle mass allows him to toss them around like ragdolls.
5. Make Hester Better
All along we've known that Devin Hester is nowhere near capable of being a number one receiver in an offense. But I think we can all agree that with a talent like Owens lining up to him on the other side of the field would increase his ability to break free for big gains exponentially.
4. Attitude
Right now this Bears team is severely lacking in attitude for more than few reasons. They say that the players typically take on the persona of their coach, meaning the Bears show about as much emotion as your mouse. With Owens in the fold, the Bears would have their loudest personality since the Super Bowl Shufflin crew.
3. Checks and Balances
Considering that Tony Romo looks about as commanding as his ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson inside the huddle, it's no surprise T.O. went unchecked down in Big D.
Chicago's punky QB reincarnate Jay Cutler is just brash enough to wield control over a guy like Owens and already did a fine job harnessing the potential of Brandon Marshall during his days in Denver.
2. Explosive Offense
Watching the Bears drop 48 points on the Lions last week was just a glimpse of what it would be like to have an explosive offense call the Windy City home. Granted, it was against a defense that gives up a league high 32.4 ppg and a team that we absolutely own.
But with an arsenal consisting of T.O, Matt Forte, Greg Olsen, Jay Cutler and Devin Hester, this kind of offensive output could become the norm and not an anomaly.
1. Go for Broke
By acquiring for Jay Cutler, Jerry Angelo showed a willingness to win now that hasn't been seen in this city in a very long time. Trading for T.O. would certainly be swinging for the fences, but then again, Angelo could end up looking like Casey with egg all over his face.
