Last night we got another teaser of a football game as the Bears beat the Broncos 27-17 in Denver. The third preseason game is the best indicator of where your team's at heading into the regular season and last night we got an eyeful of our beloved Bears.

As usual there were some who shined and others who disappointed. Here are the ten that stood out to us for good or bad reasons.

10. Devin Hester

I'd like to personally thank whomever convinced Devin Hester that running straight instead of side to side or backwards is what made him successful as a return man. That 54-yard jaunt brought back alot of memories.

9. Trumaine McBride

He may only be in because of the MASH unit that is the Bears secondary, but Trumaine McBride looked awful on Sunday night. Between poor coverage and a clipping penalty on a punt, McBride only further illustrated that this group is the one we should be worried about.

8. Mark Anderson

If the Bears can get this guy playing like it's 2005 again, this defensive line could actually mount an effective pass rush. Here's to hoping that sack was just one of many to come.

7. Alex Brown

I understand that the league is trying to protect its quarterbacks, but there's no way Alex Brown should have been penalized for his hit on Tom Brandstater.

6. Tommie Harris

Why is Tommie Harris even on the field if he can't even play without a noticeable limp? We've been force fed this line about how he's the key to our defense and yet, they throw him out there when it's obvious Tommie is still injured.

5. Orlando Pace

Too many times we watched as Cutler was pressured by Elvis Dumervil thanks to Orlando Pace looking more like a turnstyle than a future Hall of Fame tackle.

4. Lovie Smith

When Lovie had his starters lining up on defense, the Broncos couldn't get much done and he's got to get some of the credit for that. I'm still not entirely sold on this idea and shutting down a team without its starting quarterback or Brandon Marshall on the field takes a little bit of luster off of the showing.

But the D is definitely showing signs of life and that's a very good thing.

3. Greg Olsen

Is it me or does Chris Collinsworth have a Chicago sized man-crush on Greg Olsen?

2. Jay Cutler

After a slow start due to poor field position and a shower of boos that shook the entire stadium, Cutler found his way and ended up having a decent night. He's made a throw that makes you say wow at least once a game.

1. Matt Forte

This kid certainly doesn't look like a sophomore slump in his future. He made a great touchdown grab across the middle and seems primed for another big year in a Bears uniform.
