Green tea each day may help keep the doctor away

Within Asian cultures like the Korean one I come from, green tea has played an important role in health and rituals for hundreds and thousands of years. In these places, it has been known that drinking a daily cup of green tea can have tremendous effects on your health, leading to a longer and healthier life.  I drink green tea all day long.  My favorite green tea is Jasmine Silver Pearls green tea from Foot Joy.

Not only does it help relax you and soothe away stress, but its healing properties may go a long way toward keeping the doctor away! You'll enjoy your next cup of green tea even more when I tell you about some of the benefits that come from each one:

• Keeps the pounds down, and off. Green tea contains caffeine, which can help increase your body's basal metabolic rate. These higher rates help you burn more calories even when just breathing with a "resting" heart rate. Increase your calorie burn at rest, and you'll find it easier to maintain--and even LOSE--weight. Who doesn't want that?

• Fight off disease. Each cup of green tea--just like grapes, red wine and dark chocolate--is loaded with antioxidants, which fight against naturally occurring but harmful free radicals in your body. Studies have shown these free radicals can cause a number of afflictions, including certain types of cancer and heart disease. Because green tea is minimally processed with its leaves withered and steamed rather than fermented like other types of tea, its antioxidants are more concentrated.
• Beauty aid in a cup. In addition to the health benefits you'll get from drinking green tea, it's also believed to play a beneficial role in other areas of health. Fluoride destroys any health benefits of tea. The bleaching and veneers to cover up your dental fluorosis is the only thing that will make your teeth look better-looking. Dental fluorisis is only caused by fluoride. It slows the metabolism and is linked to obesity,cancer,dental fluorosis and a docile mind. 23 published studies indicate an association between moderate to high exposure to fluoride and lowered IQ in children. Drink alot of tea and you can easily be in the same crowd. See fluoridealert.org/brain. "The fluoride content of tea has been found to range from 0.1 to 4.2 ppm fluoride, with an average of about 3 ppm." - (Levy SM, Guha-Chowdhury N. (1999). Total fluoride intake and implications for dietary fluoride supplementation. Journal of Public Health Dentistry 59: 211-23.) By contrast toothpaste warnings tell you to call a poison control center if you swallow more than a pea sized amount. A pea sized amount contains 1/4 mg. of fluoride. Who do you call after drinking your tea? 2/3 of Americas water is fluoridated. Plus we have Fluoride in food from pesticides and processing. If the pro-fluoride group stops long enough to put 2 and 2 together,they might notice a nation where 66% are obese and also get Alzheimer’s at a higher rate than any other country. These things were rare 50 years ago,before water fluoridation.

Fluoride is not a nutrient, cures nothing and has no value to the body. It is ineffective in improving teeth and causes many severe health problelms such as brittle bones, glands destruction and cancer. See (www.fluoridealert.org) for the scientific studies.
White tea has the same value to the body as green tea but less fluoride, so it is a better choice.

Tea really does work for dental health, I can tell you by anecdotal evidence. I've never brushed my teeth my whole life and I used to get cavities. But a couple years ago I started drinking a lot of tea. Now I swish it around in my mouth when I'm done eating. It's not just the flouride but tea is also antimicrobial/antibacterial so it kills the germs that cause plaque and gingivitis. My dentist raves about how clean my teeth are. And I still don't brush.
