Eight days to go and my creative gourmand is already salivating. I like to get things going ahead so I will take you on the journey of pre-Thanksgiving dishes and my anticipated wine pairings. Stay tuned... The recipe for this one is below:
Double Chocolate Chocolate Cookies
2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips
2 Tablespoons water
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar plus 1/2 cup brown sugar
1.2 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla paste
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
Put it together like the video says...bake at 350 for 9 - 12 minutes for cookies, 14-18 for sheet brownies.
Enjoy this finale to your magnificent Thanksgiving feast with a night cap-- a nice aged port, a vintage California Cabernet but be sure it's at least 5 - 8 years old or it will overwhelm, or possibly a simple wine from Spain from the grape tempranillo. For those winding down, just have a cup of green tea and these will melt in your mouth!
