Beautify your skin--not just your makeup
I have always believed that your face is a canvas. This is especially meaningful to me as an artist, someone who knows how important a smooth, perfect surface is to any painting or drawing. In the same way, I have never understood why women are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on color cosmetics, but hesitate to open their wallets when an aesthetician recommends they buy a thorough cleanser or gentle toner.
To me, layering foundation and concealers on a face that's not properly cleansed or toned is like painting over a wall that hasn't yet been sanded and smoothed.
It doesn't make any sense.

Although the Tiffani Kim Institute Medical Wellness Spa sells color cosmetics--a first-class brand of mineral makeup that allows skin to breathe in a non-comedogenic, or non-clogging atmosphere--I still believe that skin care should be a woman's No. 1 priority. Do you want people to compliment you on your beautiful MAKEUP, or on your beautiful SKIN?
I know that many women I meet consider facials a "luxury," but think about it: Is a regular tune-up for your car a "luxury," or something essential to keep it running in top condition? Is an annual "well-woman" exam a "luxury," or necessary to make sure that your body is functioning properly? A professional facial done at your favorite salon will rebalance your skin, helping slow the visible signs of aging but also properly hydrating it, as well. Even if you choose to give yourself regular facials at home, these are essential to keeping your face glowing with health and vitality.
Also key to a beautiful facial canvas are effective skin care products. Sure, the TKI Medical Wellness Spa carries first-class brands such as Tiffani's own Cosmetic Medicine Skin care, Decléor, Rejuvi, Skin Medica, and Dermalogica but if your budget doesn't allow for these, you can still find effective, affordable brands at the local Walgreens or CVS pharmacy. Whatever you use, the key is CONSISTENCY. Falling asleep just that one time with your makeup on can lead to pesky blemishes and breakouts. Find a skin care routine that works for you, one you can maintain whether you're at home or on the road. Trust me--caring for your skin is the best "cosmetic" in the world!

I wear makeup maybe once a month if that. I just don't have time to put that stuff on everyday, plus my skin breaks out too easily. I tried to use a foundation once to cover up a tattoo on my arm, but by the time the makeup lady at Carson's showed me how to do it and I immediately brushed the foundation against my favorite tote bag, that was it for me. I washed that stuff off and didn't buy a thing. More power to those who won't leave the house without it, but if I never wore makeup another day in my life, I wouldn't even mind.
