In fact, she had a life full of success and talent long before she wandered into Jesse's garage. Presumably after the appropriate mourning period, she will rebound to that former glory and even surpass it. Her experience may be embarrassing and sad but it will not change the trajectory of her life.
But what about Sunny, James' six year old daughter, who had come to rely on the security and stability that Sandra Bullock brought to her father's life and hers.
Legally and ultimately emotionally, she belongs to her biological parents and the brief shining star that was Sandra may now either choose to or else be legally forced to disappear from her life.
It is possible that her father's alleged infidelity was actually a bigger betrayal of this child who was thriving in the life and love Ms. Bullock was helping to build. If her biological mother's life was in as much disarray as Jesse James claimed in his pleadings, then double shame on him. The storyline of his darling daughter's formative years is necessarily being rewritten as a result of his apparent betrayal.
We can only pray that it will still have a happy ending.
