Why You Should Attend TCW's Inspired Awards Event

Next Wednesday, October 13, Today's Chicago Woman magazine, along with Grace PR and Charles Ifergan Salons, are hosting the first ever Inspired Awards Event at Vertigo Sky Lounge at the Dana Hotel. All of us in Chicago are bombarded with endless event invitations, so here, I've broken down the top reasons you should make room on your calendar and attend this very special event. Warning: I can be very persuasive.

1. It's for a good cause. Yeah, I know, everything's a "good cause." But the Today's Chicago Woman Foundation is special. We (and when I say "we," I mean the staff of TCW magazine and volunteers--TCWF is an all-volunteer organization) raise money for under-funded charities in Chicago that benefit at-risk women and girls. That means 100% of the dollars that flow into TCWF go directly to rape crisis hotlines, domestic violence shelters, HIV/AIDS awareness and education, scholarship programs and other groups that make a direct impact on the lives of women and girls right here in our community.

2. It honors an amazing (really, amazing) group of women.
It's hard narrowing down a list of "inspiring women" in Chicago--they're anywhere and everywhere. The result is that the 20 who made the cut are truly worthy of awe--philanthropists, entrepreneurs and leaders. I'm proud to call many of them my friends, and I can't wait to meet those whose hands I've yet to shake. Trust me, these are women you want to know. (Check out the full list of our awardees at the bottom of this post.)

3. It won't break the bank. No $1,000 a plate event here. Just $20 gets you access to open bar, food, networking, a silent auction and more.

4. But it's still glam.
I'm not really sure how we're throwing this sophisticated soiree for just $20 a ticket. I think we're all secretly magicians. Best ROI for an event ticket ever.

5. Location, location, location. It's not long until our city will be covered in slush, snow and bare tree branches. Come enjoy the fab views from the Dana Hotel's Vertigo Sky Lounge while there's still time!

Please join us for this one-of-a-kind event next Wednesday. You can purchase tickets here, or email events@graceprgroup.com with questions.
