Stephen Colbert stops at USA House
Last Night I had the pleasure of meeting Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report, and I must say that this Second City alumnus is as cool off screen as he is on screen. As many of you who have been following my tweets know, I have been looking forward to this all week. Mr. Colbert did not dissappoint either. From his credential passes to his official pins (check out the photo gallery below), he definitely brough this A-game to Canada.

The daily view from Vancouver: Inside the outside of the Main Press Center
One of the most striking things about Vancouver is the scenery. The combination of the city skyline with the picturesque mountains along the water front is truly breathtaking. It's funny watching how many reporters walk down the long hallway of the Main Press Center every day with their heads turned to the side staring out the windows. It's too beautiful not to stop and look.

Media jumps the gun on posting Vonn and Mancuso's downhill skiing results before end of race
Lindsey Vonn didn't need the rest of the skiers to complete their runs in the ladies' downhill on Wednesday in order to capture gold. That is, according to news outlets such as NBC and The Canadian Press. During the much-anticipated ladies' downhill skiing in which all eyes were on American Vonn -- who was battling back from a painful shin injury that could have kept her out of competition -- a few news outlets were eager to jump the gun on her results and posted her win before the event was finished.

When traveling back and forth from our apartment to the Main Press Center downtown, our best mode of transportation is the SkyTrain, Vancouver's equivalent of Chicago's "El."
