In his press conference Monday a reporter said "no offense, but 33 is...getting up there. Is this is for you?" Wescott replied with "no not at all, I plan on Sochi 2014...I'm coming back for more."
The oldest U.S. athlete at the Games is curler Tracy Sachtjen, 40, born 2/20/1969, and the youngest is aerialist Ashley Caldwell, 16, who couldn't hide her nervous excitement in her first Olympic press conference last week.
She said of her older, example-setting teammates: "they treat me like a kid when I need to be treated like a kid."
Jeret "Speedy" Peterson followed her comment with, "she cheats at boardgames." Way to set an example for decorum in front of the media, "Speedy."
A few of the other ring-sick puppies at the Games include Mirai Nagasu, who is only older than Caldwell by a few months, and Caydee Denney, another two months older. Both are figure skaters.

A few of the bloggers on turning 25/not quite yet turning 25:
Jenn: I feel old especially because a lot of these athletes are a lot younger than me. It’s kind of depressing to be here at the Olympics because they’re celebrating youth and agility
Christiana: I’m not really hung up on age so it was just another birthday for me.
Joe: it feels fabulous not being 25. I’m right at the edge of the athletes, so they could be my friends. It feels great.
Charlotte: I’ll still be a rockstar at 25. Your twenties is the new teen with legal drinking age…
