I'm a DePaul graduate student getting my MA in journalism. And a Miami University alumnae. I'm really excited to watch Blackhawks player Patrick Kane play for team USA!

Apparently iphones don't let you type into the body so let's try this again:

Netherlands speed skater Sven Kramer, 24, beat the Olympic record on Saturday for the men's 5000m long track race.  Kramer took the gold with a time of 6:14.60, according to a VANOC press release, lowering the Olympic record by 0.06 seconds.

Seung-Hoon of Korea won the silver medal with a time of 6:16.95 and Russian's Ivan Skobrev won the bronze with a time of 6:18.05
