Are Chicago Public School Lunches Safe?

A report from CNN's Kyra Phillips left me wondering, how safe is the meat served at Chicago Public Schools? According to a recent report, the government has provided the nation's schools with millions of pounds of beef and chicken that wouldn't meet the quality or safety standards of many fast-food restaurants. See the CNN video after the break.

Next year, Congress will revisit the Child Nutrition Act, which governs the lunch program. Should we really wait that long to ensure that our kids are served safe food?
