It can be safely said that Allyson Dykhuizen is obsessed with everything about knitting. As the owner of The Sweatshop of Love, she teaches knitting, writes about knitting, sells knit kits, designs knitting patterns, and makes you love knitting as much as she does.
Allyson is excited to be a part of ChicagoNow if only for the fact that it gives her yet another excuse to surround herself with more knitting.
Originally from Michigan, Allyson has been living in Chicago since 2003. She got a degree in writing from Columbia College Chicago in 2006.
Please excuse her love of baseball and football. She realizes they are contradictory to her whole knitting/girly thing, but they squeak in sometimes.
