On our website, twentythirtyforty.net, we've been alternately featuring guest stylists to give us their take on an item from our shop. The fabulous Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home, admittedly a muse of ours, recently took us up on the guest stylist challenge, rocking our Opening Ceremony over-the-knee wedge boots.
In case you don't know, Judy Aldridge is a blogger and fashionista, but is also the mother of Jane Aldridge, arguably one of the hottest young stylists in the blogosphere (she's been featured in Vogue and tapped to design capsule collections for Urban Outfitters -- and she's a mere 17). But back to Judy.
We just love Judy for knowing who she is and wearing what she loves. She is always tasteful and age-appropriate, but also isn't afraid to flaunt her love of fashion. She is a woman after our own hearts in so many ways. She is such a breath of fresh air in the blogosphere, too. It's hard for us sometimes to put ourselves out there. There's a place for us, but as 2 women who aren't in their 20s, it's daunting. Judy Aldridge has really helped open people's eyes to the fact that it's still important -- and easy -- to look stylish past the age of 40. God love her.
