About Scott Bolohan

It was a sunny, beautiful day in 1983. Birds were singing, deer pranced about jovially, and people, for just that one day, were genuinely nice to each other. Someone even held the door open for an old lady. And on that day, a wondrous child was welcomed to the earth.

A couple years later, Scott Bolohan was born.

Scott grew up in Troy, MI, off 16 Mile road, a mere eight miles from the infamous 8 Mile. He is hard. Growing up he dreamed about becoming a professional baseball player. In recent years, he's been considering changing this career path. His all-time favorite player is Chad Curtis, who he met at a game because he is probably the only person to ever own a Chad Curtis shirt.

He enrolled at DePaul University where he developed a man-crush on Wilson Chandler, who he affectionately calls WilChan (he claims he invented this) and Duncan Keith (who he calls Duncan Keith). During this period of his life, he purchased counterfeit tickets to numerous high-profile events.

He graduated with a degree in journalism with a minor in unemployment. He has been writing a sports column for the RedEye since February 2009 and appears in Five on Five every Wednesday. Somehow, he has never won a Pulitzer Prize. Many consider him to be the greatest parker of cars they have ever met.

He appeared on ChicagoNow Radio on April 12, 2010 which can be heard here. You can follow him on twitter @scottbolohanbe his fan on Facebook, or send him an email. He is available for just about anything that pays money, including writing autobiographies in the third person.
