It was sold out, so this is as close as I got. I didn't check around the National Historic Site scalper market to see if I could get in.
John Adams was sworn-in here. Much like Adams, by the end of the day, I figured I'd be dead.
I expected my head and the bell to share a resemblance by the end of the day.
I met two other Hawks fans here. At first they looked at my jersey and said, "Another person from Chicago." I didn't know if that meant, 'hey we are too' or 'another person from Chicago we have to kill.'
Early on, kids were the only people that would say anything to me. They start young here.
The people at the gate gave me a hard time entering, but I got the best of them by using my old student ID card to save a dollar.
At this point, a tour group of kids on the other side of the cemetary stopped and coordinated booing me and a 'Let's go Flyers' chant.
Around here was one of the worst places for me. Everyone either said, 1. Blackhawks suck, 2. You suck, 3. Can I have your autograph, Mr. Bieber?
I figured this would be a nice reprieve. I mean, come on, it's a church.
I was actually booed inside the church. This blows my mind. For as much trouble the Flyers' fans gave me, you had to admit, this is kind of awesome.
A group of guys my age yelled at me for about five minutes. Unfortunately, nothing they said was very creative. Come on Philly.
When I was crossing the street to get to the house, I realized that it might not be entirely safe for me to actually be crossing streets. People would honk their horns and one gentleman in a SUV blew past me and yelled, "Suck!"
They have statues of him all around the city. I considered putting my Hawks jersey on him, but I also considered the repercussions.
I was getting away from the tourists and the real fans came out. Mostly it was warnings, saying I was brave, but in the sense that it was a threat too. Within 15 second, three people on bikes stopped to tell me I was an idiot.
The sign isn't really that impressive, kinda small. But I appreciate the irony.
On the way hear a man screamed at me to perform a type of sexual act on Duncan Keith. I think the most impressive part of it was that he managed to get it all out audibly while driving around a corner. Must have had practice.
I know that people from Philly love eating cheese steaks and all, but I mean, those steps weren't very difficult to climb.
So I've never actually seen Rocky so I don't know which way I should have had the picture from. So I did both.
There might have been 10 Blackhawks fans I saw there. Everyone else was all in orange. This is where the trouble really started (as it should have, I mean, I was asking for it). One guy sang, "All By Myself," others said I was lucky there were cops around. Nearly all seemed to suggest that I was facing impending doom.

Thanks Jimmy and Jackie. If you thought that was brave, now that the Hawks can clinch, I'm going to try to go to Game Six (and determined to pay the $350 or so that it'll cost to get in). That has trouble written all over it.
