Dr. Pedersen, director for the Center of Companion Animal Health at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine, discusses potential treatments (LTCI , feline omega interferon, and others) and 'tests' for FIP, what may cause FIP and much more. It turns out FIP is more common than previously thought.  Pedersen, who is now 66, says he's holding off retirement because he's excited about what he may still be able to do.

Thanks so much for spending an hour with Dr. Pedersen. The show was so informative and interesting that I really didn't think an hour had passed when it was over, and I can't imagine how much we would have missed if you had done a half hour each with him and Dr. Addie. I really enjoyed the close and conversational tone between the two of you even though you kept insisting you didn't know him that well. I can't wait to hear the second hour with Dr. Diane Addie.
