Millionaires trying to kill each other every Sunday while surrounded by beer and hard liquor signs, cursing and mock war references while the surronding area is filled by people puking from sun-up to sundown: Good. A statue honoring one of the greatest players ever whose attributes are probably closer to those of a good soldier than any other players: nah, can't have that.
Hypocrasy.

I'm so confused as to why this has become an issue or why the Park District or City's Mayor Daley gives a crap. Walter was an inspiration, devotee of this City and the communities, and great contributor to the greater good for all man kind. Not a god, but a damn better human being than any of these politicos and 'officials' that 'speak' for Chicagoans. They should all be ashamed of themselves and stop being greedy a-holes for two minutes. Walter and his legacy deserve this (THE VERY LEAST) so that the conversation can begin and live forever about how great Sweetness was to the game and the city he loved -not to mention how Chicago loved him.
