Psychic predictions from a 3 year old

A few weeks ago, my brother Rafer was getting the feeling that his soon to be born son was coming early.  While the baby's due date was Nov 19th, in early November, my brother had a hunch it wouldn't take that long.  My 3 year old son Britt, however, begged to differ.

After I hung up the phone with Rafer, I asked Britt, "Are Rafer and Tiffany having a baby next week?"

"No," he said immediately.

"The following week?"  I asked.

"No," he said again.

"The week after that?"  I asked- which would have been the week the baby was due.

"Yes," he said.

Early last week, Rafer was still feeling the baby would be coming before the 19th.

"Let me check with Britt," I joked.  "Hey Britt, is Tiffany having a baby today?"

"No," he said, not looking up from his trucks.  "Friday," he said.

"Well the due date is THURSDAY, so I hope he's wrong," Rafer said.

Last week flew by- no new baby in sight.  Thursday, they checked in to the hospital to induce.

"Is Tiffany having her baby today?"  I asked Britt as he ate his cereal.

"No Mommy," he said, exhausted with my questioning him on this subject.  "Tomorrow!"

On Friday night, November 20th, I became an Aunt.  Heathcliff John Weigel was born.  (The name explanation is a whole other blog!)

"Told you Mommy," Britt said when I showed him this picture of his cousin.

He sure did.

What else can Britt predict? Is he taking appointments?

Congratulations to Rafer and Tiffany on their new son. Let's hear the story behind the Heathcliff name.

Wow, that is great. Glad to see the baby is happy and healthy. Our friends daughter told her mom that she was pregnant with twins and she WAS! Then she said it would be two boys, and when the first one came out male they were shocked- then his sister came so she was very close to predicting all of it..
