Blogging frenzy today on Michigan Avenue!!

So today is the day- where Chicagonow.com takes over the shops of 900 North Michigan Avenue. Are you going to be in the city? If the answer is "yes" then you must do your spiritual part- and come have a drink with me, dammit!
The term "there's something for everybody" seriously does apply here. Every floor will have activities that range from cooking tips, to drink specials... I will be on the 6th floor at a restaurant called Baisi Thai signing and selling books for big discounts, while handing out "saketini's" and appetizers.
Promise me that if you come, you don't get so entranced with the lovely Ashley Bond giving fitness tips at Equinox on the first level that you miss me all together. (I'd be watching her demos too if they didn't have me on a different floor. She's hot!)
Another highlight- chef Sarah Stegner will be sharing some cooking tips at Williams-Sonoma on the 2nd level. If you don't know Sarah of "Prairie Chefs"- you need to. She is one of the more talented culinary masters in the area- and she's also incredibly NICE! (not your typical combo with super star chefs these days.)
Yoga enthusiasts need to stop and see Maya Henderson of "Breath, Body, & Balance". She'll be educating guests on yoga and breathing tips at Lululemon Athletica on Level 3.
Winos (I'd be one of those...) can meet Alpana Singh (Host of "Check Please" and overall wine guru..) on level 5 pairing wines with Frankie's Italian fare.
And if you think you have to leave your kids at home- guess what- NOT the case.... little ones will be treated to face painting, scavenger hunts, and cookies at "Kid's Korner" on level 5 where Cailin Giles of "Wee Windy City" will be giving parents ideas on the most "kid friendly" spots in town.
That's just a handful of the folks that will be there. As I'm typing this- I'm wondering...how is anyone going to make it up to the 6th floor to see me with all this stuff happening on the lower levels??!!
So now I have to kick it up a notch.
Ummmm... Let me think... I will also hug everyone who comes to see me. That's spiritual, right?
But I do have one requirement- please make sure you have showered at least once this week. I may be spiritual- but I am also human!

Me too- can't believe we both survived waiting tables at the Davis Street Fishmarket.... I owe all my lobster knowledge to those folks :) AND I can still carry five plates on my left arm... ha!
