'V' offers mini-'Firefly' reunion
You can catch many "Firefly" cast members on TV this fall.
If you loved Joss Whedon's short-lived sci-fi series "Firefly" or its movie spin-off, "Serenity," you'll want to turn on the TV Tuesday. Two members of the "Firefly" cast, Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin, star in the series premiere of "V" on ABC. Let's take a look at how the new TV roles of some "Firefly" cast members compare to their times as space cowboys.
Morena Baccarin
"Firefly" character: Space hooker Inara Serra
Now: Baccarin plays the leader of the alien Visitors on "V," which means we still want to see what she's covering up.
Alan Tudyk
"Firefly" character: Pilot Hoban "Wash" Washburne
Now: While Wash was an open book, FBI agent Dale Maddox on "V" harbors a crush for his partner, Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell), and an even bigger secret.
Adam Baldwin
"Firefly" character: Tough guy Jayne Cobb
Now: As Col. John Casey on "Chuck," Baldwin beats on baddies too, but he's quicker with a quip than Jayne ever was.
Nathan Fillion
"Firefly" character: Capt. Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds
Now: Fillion's charismatic Richard Castle on
ABC's "Castle" recently dressed as the less refined Mal for Halloween. But like Mal, Castle solves problems, they're just murders instead of his own galactic issues.
Gina Torres
"Firefly" character: Zoë Washburne (Wash's wife)
Now: In her "FlashForward," Felicia Wedeck, wife of FBI Agent Stanford Wedeck, sees that they adopt a child. But Torres' scene was over in a flash.

"Firefly" character: Butt-kicking savant River Tam
Now: Glau's time as a butt-kicking terminator has ended, but she's going to knock Echo (Eliza Dushku) around beginning Friday on Whedon's "Dollhouse."
