Chicago's 'Women Unscripted' wins RedEye reality TV contest

I patrol TV ... and other things. But mostly TV. I like my couch.

The results are in and "Women Unscripted" is the champ in my RedEye Reality video contest.

Of the 1,922 votes cast by noon Wednesday, "Women" earned 55 percent to "Chicago CREWdrivers" 43 percent. "Adam and Brad" came in third with just 1 percent.

No hard feelings, everyone. I see those comments on the blog. It was a clean contest (as far as I know). Be nice or I'll take your computers away! With all this comment banter we've stumbled onto a new reality TV concept, "Women and their Gays Unscripted" or "Gays and Their Women Unscripted." Whaddya think?

Anyway, it was a close race, with Women leading early, then CREWdrivers pulling ahead last night and today, Women turned out in force.

Congrats to Mark Murrell, who created "Women Unscripted" with some friends as a pilot treatment. Learn more about Mark and his crew at the previous "Women Unscripted" post. When I get back into town I'll set you up with some RedEye swag.

Mark told me in an email that after the notice "Women Unscripted" has gotten from the contest, he plans to once again pitch his reality show idea to prodcution companies. Good luck!

By the way, I did mistype that the contest ended Tuesday Aug. 12, which I fixed to Wednesday Aug. 12. Honest mistake, but fixed early this week. And you might still be able to vote and the results may change, but that's because I messed up the end date for the poll. The results I listed above were from 12:05 p.m. Wednesday. Thanks

Congrats Mark. I'm so glad you have such "professional" women friends. I'm glad their "profession" leads them to street corners.

Daniel, how do I reply to that?

I'm sorry. I apologize. I just am confused on what I saw happen. I've always been such a supporter for CREWDrivers and I don't understand how the margins of votes increased by the hundreds in the last hours.

We will never know. I'm unable to stop ballot stuffing, or power voting. But nothing was rigged on my end. It was just a good, fun time. Personally, I liked CREWdrivers a lot. That video got my vote(s). LOL Curt

I'll ISP log your face.

What can I say.. I'm jealous (and angry, as usual) because I am not on Sex & the City... I mean, Girls Gone Wild.... I mean Women Unscripted.

Oh for heaven's sake I'm kidding. Haha. Anyone who knows me knows I am kidding. :)
