Fox has picked up J.J. Abrams' "Fringe" for a second season, the network announced Monday. That means 22 more creepy episodes of the freak-fest that will include Leonard Nimoy as the mysterious William Bell.
I spoke with Jasika Nicole this morning. The actress, who plays rookie FBI agent Astrid Farnsworth, didn't share the good news with me, except that she kept saying "next season," then correcting herself, "if there is another season." Watch for that interview here later today.
"Fringe" wraps up its first season on May 12, when Nimoy, known as Mr. Spock to "Star Trek" fans, joins the cast as William Bell, the man who runs the powerful corporation Massive Dynamics and used to be Walter Bishop's (John Noble) lab partner. I believe he was behind Walter being committed.
In this Tuesday's new episode, Olivia (Anna Torve) experiences waking dreams and we learn more about Peter's (Josh Jackson) past.
