Sci Fi’s latest original series, “Warehouse 13,” has begun production in Toronto, the network has announced.
The premise of “Warehouse 13” sounds like another riff on “The X-Files,” just like Fox’s “Fringe” is. That doesn’t mean it’s not going to be good.
In “Warehouse 13,” two Secret Service agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly, center) and Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock, right) are assigned to Warehouse 13, a “top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government.”
The warehouse’s caretaker, Artie (Saul Rubinek, left), sends the agents to investigate reports of strange activity in hopes of finding more objects to add to the piles in the facility. CCH Pounder has a recurring role as Artie’s boss, Mrs. Frederic.
The series premieres in July with a two-hour movie.
