Cheers viewers, Neil Patrick Harris is coming to “SNL.” CBS photo

“Saturday Night Live” returns on Jan. 10 with the highly anticipated (by me) hosting gig of Neil Patrick Harris.

Harris stars in CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” and was beyond excellent in Joss Whedon's Web musical "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." (Read about it here.)

Taylor Swift is musical guest for the episode.

NBC reports that the Jan. 17 and 31 episodes will be new, but has noted named the hosts.
