Jeffrey Tambor says an "Arrested Development" movie is in the works.
"Arrested Development" fans, rejoice. Your fave TV show is becoming a movie.
That's according to star Jeffrey Tambor anyway, who yesterday told Steve Weintraub of collider.com that the much-rumored film is a go. Tambor said he talked to "AD" creator Mitch Hurwitz last week, who said it was on.
Tambor didn't know any specifics about the project, but said that fans can be sure it's happening.
"When the writer calls you, and the director, and the executive producer calls you, it's a pretty good sign," Tambor said in the interview, which you can watch for yourself at Collider.
Tambor said he's looking forward to revisiting "Arrested Development" and his character, George Bluth Sr.
"We want to close that," he said. "We want to bring that all to fruition."
The show starred Tambor, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, David Cross and Jessica Walter, among others.
