Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne) gets all freaky in the latest episode of "Sanctuary." Syfy photos
"Sanctuary" took a break from its hard-hitting Season 2 last week with the comical episode "Hero." This week it dives back into the darkness with "Pavor Nocturnus."
"It is a post-apocalyptic thing, and you see the Sanctuary in complete, utter chaos and disarray," Robin Dunne, who plays good guy Will Zimmerman, told me at the beginning of the season. "You see Will in a totally different light."
In the episode, which airs at 9 p.m. Nov. 6, Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) wakes up to find New City and the Sanctuary in ruins. She has no idea what happened, or where Will is. When she finds him, he's not at all the man she knew.
"When Robin came on set that day he freaked me out," Tapping told me during a separate interview. "He was completely messed up."

Even an actor who has found his own success can turn into a fanboy in an instant.
Craig Horner, the Aussie star of the action-fantasy hit "Legend of the Seeker" and a big-time fan of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," did just that when filming began on Season 2 of the syndicated show, which debuts Saturday. Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase on "Buffy" and its spin-off, "Angel," guest stars as Mord'Sith leader Triana.
He's well into filming Season 2, but Horner's still reveling in his "Buffy" moment.
"I heard about [her] and it was like, 'Wooo! That's awesome,' " the enthusiastic 26-year-old told me by phone this week. "But to be honest, I didn't really tell her [what a big fan I was]. I told her I loved the show, but I didn't want to go into it too much and freak her out, you know what I mean?"
Taylor Swift hosts "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, with musical guest Taylor Swift. Here are the promos she shot with Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader. "SNL" has had a couple weeks off. You think it'll come back strong, or be as bad as it's been most of the season?

"Fringe" fans, get ready to learn more about Agent Phillip Broyles.
Lance Reddick, who plays the man in charge of the Fringe Division, takes center stage in the latest episode, "Earthling," airing at 8 p.m. Thursday. And maybe, just maybe, we'll learn more about that kiss he shared with Massive Dynamic boss Nina Sharpe (Blair Brown).
"That's something else that I always kind of felt," he told me during a phone interview. "I had mentioned on a few occasions to the writers, to Jeff Pinkner particularly, that I thought that Nina and Broyles could have been involved romantically in the distant past."
It's been months in the making, but finally Oprah Winfrey will unveil the O magazine cover she shares with DeGeneres, who campaigned earlier this year for the spot. (Watch the video here.)
"I can't believe you're serious about this. I'm freaking out right now," DeGeneres said in March when Winfrey surprised her with the news.

I knew Hugh Jackman was done with hosting the Oscars. But I didn't realize it would take two people to replace him.
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the Oscars.
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the 82nd Academy Awards, producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman said today.
I've got one request: No banjo-playing, Steve.
"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy, Alec Baldwin," Martin said in a statement from ABC, the network airing the March 7 ceremony.
Baldwin, of "30 Rock" fame, said: "I don't play the banjo but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars--it's the opportunity of a lifetime."
Martin has hosted twice before, while Baldwin is new to the game. The two co-star in the December comedy "It's Complicated" with perennial Oscar favorite Meryl Streep.
