Keep On Keepin' On: Follow Up to "Doin' It Can Reduce The Chances of Having a Heart Attack by Half"
Earlier this week I wrote a post about a study that showed men who have sex at least twice a week cut their risk of heart attack in half.
I guess you could say I'm milking it right now, but one commenter, Marsh, felt my post was a little lopsided, only discussing the benefits of sex for men and I agree with her. I googled a little harder and found some great info on the benefits of gettin' in on for the ladies.
Turns out, there are a bunch:
Forbes.com published a great article called Is Sex Necessary
that gives a pretty even handed approach to the benefits for both
sexes. For women they include pain relief, especially during PMS,
dental benefits, reduced depression, and better bladder control.
WebMD credits sex for it's benefits to sleep, ability to reduce stress, burn calories, and promote intimacy.
Finally, Associated Content touts the physical and emotional healing powers of sex, as well as listing benefits such as lower cholesterol and improved memory.
Sounds like doin' it is a win-win situation for both sexes.
