The AIDS Foundation of Chicago and fellow Chicago Now Bloggers, Feast of Fun are hosting a forum on gay men and sex. Aimed at switching the paradigm of gay sex from one of disease to one of pleasure and love.
I'll never forget a conversation I had in my freshman year of high school. Sitting with my friend Jackie on the bus, somehow we started talking about gay men. Sadly, Jackie immediately equated being gay with having AIDS. In her mind, the two were synonymous. Of course, I politely corrected her. DUH, Just because you like it in the bum, doesn't mean you have the HIV or any other disease for that matter.
This forum is aimed at gearing the discussion of gay sex away from STDS. RSVP to join Fausto Fernos and Marc Felion and an expert panel at the Center on Halsted (3656 N. Chicago) at 7pm.
