Details on Julian Hibbard's recently released, "The Noir A-Z."

Today's Flavorwire email brought with it this fabulous exclusive on Julian Hibbard's new photography collection, The Noir A-Z. 

Publisher Mark Batty bills it as:
"an abecedary unlike any other, pairing a word with one of his photographs for all twenty-six letters in the alphabet. The resulting book evokes a shadowy, sexy and voyeuristic noir aesthetic."
The photography I've seen from the book is sexy, evocative, and above all, cool.  In the Flavorwire post, Hibbard describes the reasons he chose the words and images he used for each letter,  for instance describing "G" for "Gasp":

"Often it seems I depict men in a state of escape and struggle, perhaps in reference to trying to understand my own condition. We cannot describe ourselves without also describing what we need to escape from, and what, we believe, we need to escape to."

It's that time of year again and at $22.95 this makes a great gift for photography enthusiasts and voyeurs alike.
