Adam Lambert's AMA Performance: What's All the Fuss?

WTF is everyone's problem about Adam Lambert's American Music Awards performance?  I mean, why can Madonna go around kissing every teen idol she sees with no recourse and an openly gay man can't?  Why is it that two girls kissing considered sexy and two guys repulsive?

I mean, I'm truly baffled. I feel like this is a "no,duh," moment and folks are saying he has to be concerned about losing fans.   Hello, have you met pop-stars and the gays?  They love each other.  Adam Lambert's star is only beginning to rise and his immense talent could put him among the ranks of stars such as Christina Aguilera and Cher.  Get over it America, he's here, he's gay, get used to it.

Straight male here. I only saw what all the hoopla was about this morning. From what I saw, the people on the leashes was a bit much. Other than that, I didn't see anything really shocking. Lambert's performance was no more raunchy than what Prince was doing back in the Eighties before he became a Jehovah's Witness. I even thought his kiss with the keyboardist was sexier than the ones Madonna planted on both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Now he's getting axed from his "Good Morning America" performance...shame on you, ABC! Don't you think Lambert knows how to behave in the AM as opposed to primetime?

I agree! Unreal the double standard. The man was on American Idol and they think he's going to upset the suburban mom's watching Good Morning America. Head shakes from me.

I agree. I've seen Madonna do a lot more vulgar things onstage. Britney has no problem showing us that she's not wearing underwear, etc. I saw Prince in the 80's and it was NOT tame. I think that it may not have been the best choice of song for the venue but I really think it's Much Ado About Little. So he kissed a guy. The fact that the keyboard player is straight and was surprised on national tv is more troubling than the kiss itself. I agree with Adam - you know that things are going to happen on the show. If you are worried about your kids, don't let them stay up and watch it. Do I think it's going to hurt his career? Are you kidding? It may have been an unfortunate choice of events but ABC, really? YOU are the ones making the controversy, not Adam. He was being who he is and he never stated anything to the contrary. Shame on you ABC for allowing double standards and for spreading fear instead of acceptance. What you did was conviction without trial

I love Adam. So much. But I don't think it was appropriate for him to do that. Think of all the young kids that were watching..

I don't know...I mean, is it any worse than the Gossip Girl threesome? With all the racy content on TV these days I feel like a line is hard to draw.
