We interrupt this edition of Sex and the Windy City to bring you something far hotter:
Last night, I had the distinct pleasure of serving on a panel with four other talented women writers as part of the Association of Women Journalists cocktail reception on the eve of BlogHer's 2009 Conference in Chicago.
Panelists included snarky bacon lovers, culinary experts and feminist moms, but despite our varied interests, we were all fellow bloggers-in-arms. I highly encourage you check them out:
Women blog: On sex, bacon, and feminist moms
Veronia Arreola - of Viva la Feminista
Heather Lalley - of Flour Grrrl
Jenni Spinner - of Bacon du Jour
Nia Williams - of Siddity in the City
The panel was all about blogging, natch, and the divide between journalists and bloggers. It was great to hear the perspectives of other bloggers on similar frustrations - money, sexism, money - and also nice to meet people in the flesh that I only knew from Twitter.
Thanks to Keidra Chaney for moderating and AWJ for the opportunity to share my thoughts on writing and masturbation to people outside of my Knitters Anonymous support group.
