Friday night Chicago Bears tight end Greg Olsen hosted the "Shake The Lake Music Festival" at Joe's On Weed. The event benefited "Receptions For Research", Olsen's cancer charity, and featured performances by country music stars David Nail and Keith Anderson.

Despite the Bears' disappointing loss to the San Francisco Forty Niners just the night before, Olsen managed to get a lot of his teammates out to support the cause. Bears' pros Hunter Hillenmeyer, Patrick Mannelly, Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie were joined by super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, Cubs pitcher Randy Wells and Lake Forest High School's second-most beloved alumnus (behind me, of course) Vince Vaughn.

Olsen was everywhere at the event, signing autographs and taking pictures, introducing the artists and even joining Anderson on stage for a duet. The rest of the VIPs, particularly Wells and Hillenmeyer, were taking time out to talk to fans and enjoy the music. Props to Olsen and Joe's for a successful event.
