The Chicago Blackhawks (7-3-1) defeated the slumping Minnesota Wild (3-8-0) Monday night at the United Center behind a solid performance from netminder Cristobal Huet and goals from Dave Bolland, Troy Brouwer and Patrick Kane.
Former Hawks forward Martin Havlat displayed the stick skills and sweet moves that made the UC roar last year, but he wasn't able to capitalize for the Wild in their 3-1 loss. Havlat has just one goal on the season and his -10 rating puts him 433rd--dead last--amongst forwards in the NHL.
The star of the show was Kane, whose third period goal is sure to show up on highlight reels all season long.

Wow, just now got to see this shot. How the hell did he do that?

Yeah, there was just about a puck's worth of space there and he somehow found it.
