Random Thoughts: by Rock (*cough*) Mamola (*sneeze*)

1. Even if the Yankees win, Chase Utley should get the World Series MVP award.   
The guy has been lights out and could set a record tonight if he goes yard one more time.  The MVP award should be awarded to the best player of the series no matter the outcome, and Utley is surely a touch above the rest these past five games.
 
2. The Bulls are one of the worst teams I've watched in years.
The fact that you had to come back against Milwaukee to squeeze out a win at home against your former head coach is outright ridiculous.  When will the Vinny Del Negro "can't coach in the NBA" talk beginning.....oh wait, it already has.
 
3. Who on the Bulls besides Derrick Rose is untouchable?  NO ONE
It's amazing how the NBA works.  You got superstars teaming up with superstars just to milk off one another and get the ring.  Rasheed Wallace to Boston, Shaq to Cleveland, Ron Artest to the Lakers.  This is a big problem for the NBA because when the best players aren't spread out around the league, it's too top heavy and interest is lost as a collective.  You expect the top teams to win and they do as you do the same with the lesser teams.  Too predictable.
 
4. Are we really debating if Chris Chambers would be good for the Bears?
It's come to this.  We're debating Josh Beekman over Frank Omiyale and if the Bears should take flyers on "Edge" James and Chris Chambers.  Gosh, we're screwed this season.  Could get real ugly real quick.
 
5. The owner of the Browns discussed matters of his team with this guy?

Wow....
 
6. The Blackhawks have the brightest future of any Chicago sports team.
Yet no one wants to talk hockey in Chicago.  Interesting.
 
7. Iowa is not a legit top 5 team in the BCS.
They're top win is against Arizona??  At Penn State?  I just don't want to see another Rose Bowl where the Big Ten team gets slaughtered by Oregon or USC again.  Bad Bad Bad!
 
8. There are teams that want Milton Bradley in MLB?
If this is the case and so many teams want him, they should the Cubs keep him.  Look at it this way, do you want the trash of the Padres, Giants, Blue Jays, Mets?  Is Bradley's potential ceiling higher than what could be with someone else?  This could possibly be the biggest decision on Jim Hendry's plate this off season.

10. Chicago sports is nothing but mediocrity
Middle of the road baseball teams.  A football team without an identity or a go to play.  A hockey team with plenty of youth and inexperience who gets as much pub as the minor league team in town.  A basketball team that's taking a year off planning for 2010-2011.  And yet we expect the impossible year in and year out.   
 
I guess that's what makes us fans.
