Hello, everyone! I'm Maureen Wilkey and I'm your Rent or Buy residential real estate blogger.
I'm a graduate of the University of Illinois journalism school, where I earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree. After I finished up in Champaign, I spent a little more than two years learning more than anyone really needs to know about real estate as an editor at a statewide real estate publcation. I always loved multi-family and mixed-use projects, so blogging about all the cool kinds of residential properties in Chicago seemed a natural fit. I'm also a reporter for Bisnow Real Estate Chicago, an email newsletter covering commercial real estate society news.
