The new construction units at 2814 N. Sheffield offer a variety of floorplans near the L in a nice neighborhood in south Lakeview. Some of the units are up to $750,000, but the one I toured on the second floor south end of the building was a three-bedroom, two-bath for $549,000.

You enter the unit through the front stairs, which open into a wide living/dining area and spacious kitchen  With dark hardwood floors throughout, the bright light coming in from the south windows give a nice coloring to the unit, which is being marketed by Sudler Sotheby's Tracy Romano.

The kitchen has granite countertops and includes stainless steel appliances with a dishwasher and wine cooler. The unit also comes with a full-size washer and dryer in the utility room. The master bedroom, pictured below is quite large with the secondary bedrooms a little smaller.

The space includes outdoor balconies in the back master bedroom and off  the front living/dining room area. A parkign space is also included in the price of the unit. There's still several units left in the four story building ranging from $549,000 to $750,000
