Olympic Village site, foreclosure suits this week in Chicago real estate news

By now, we're all aware that we didn't get the 2016 games, and we're looking to move onward to different aspects of our lives... so here's a little Olympics news and some non-Olympics news.

1. The Olympic Village site will now take longer to redevelop, according to the Sun-Times. With a few thousand unsold units still on the market in the downtown, contractors and developers will have to wait a while to reap the benefits the Olympics would have created.

2. X/O Condominiums are facing a foreclosure suit, according to Crain's

The massive South Loop property didn't sell enough units and is likely to be rezoned for a smaller development in the future.

3. 200 Midwest homes will be auctioned by Hudson and Marshall   80 Chicago-area homes will be up for auction in Burr Ridge on October 10. Go to www.hudsonandmarshall.com for more details.

4. The Museum of Science and Industry is exhibiting the Chicago's greenest home Head down to the museum by January 3 to get tips on landscaping, space usage and technologies.
