House-a-palooza: Musicians' homes in Chicago

With Lollapalooza in town, I thought we'd show off some musician's homes in Chicago.

Here's MTV's cribs video about Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman's townhouse on Southport.

Joe's decorating tastes are pretty cool, although I'm not sure about the moss. I love that he still has almost childlike decor in some places- he probably has enough money that he can change as (and if) his tastes change .Gutiar room is awesome and no one can argue with that many Star Wars toys.

Reports also indicate Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump bought and is renovating a home in Glenview to include a music studio.

Also, check out the Chicago Decider's recent blog entry on R. Kelly's Lakeview Mansion. It's under renovation, but I'm still a little weirded out by murals like this

Oh and apparently there's a fake log cabin in the basement. Wonder how long it will take to sell this one- my guess is it won't be fast.

Former Lollapalooza headliner Jeff Tweedy of Wilco lives on the Northwest side, according to the Chicago Reader, and a photos of his house can be csee on Virtual Globetrotting here. It's the house two from the left of the intersection on the north side of the street.
