CTA rider: Recycle cards for free ride

user-pic
Davonda Buck wrote to "Going Public" with an eco-friendly CTA idea.

"Amidst all of the CTA's funding woes, they should get us to recycle more of those bus cards by giving out one free ride for every ten cards recycled.

They could help cut costs by recycling those little plastic horrors. You never know if you have just enough to ride and they end up laying around the house, not to mention the any number of them you can find just laying around outside.

And by giving one free ride they may help a person out who is desperately trying to get somewhere and discover that mass transit is among the many other things that we are being over charged for in this city!"

Well, that's certainly not going to happen, but it's a nice idea.
