CTA rider inconvenienced by route change

user-pic
Pam Smith of Westmont wrote to "Going Public" with a complaint about her bus route. CTA contact information can be found here.

"I ride the No. 121 to Union Station for my evening commute. The drivers have been catching Hell by riders because they've been told to use the Randolph Street ramp to get to Upper Wacker.

On a good day, with a good driver, this adds an additional five minutes to the ride. On bad weather days and days when traffic is heavier than usual, the ride can be extended by up to 25 minutes.

What I would like to know is if there is a SPECIFIC person that can be enundated with complaints from riders who are inconvenienced by this change?

I know that the justification is that the traffic light gives a right-of-way to the driver, but unless arrangements are made to extend the length of time given, this arrangement is all but useless."

Yeah, it's unfortunate how the people who make decisions such as route and schedule changes seem to have very little understanding of what's really going on out on the streets.
