CTA rider: Bus Tracker off

user-pic
Via Twitter, Katie Aune wrote to "Going Public" about a Bus Tracker problem. The CTA response is below.

"Are the old CTA buses not equipped w/GPS? Every time Bus Tracker is wrong it seems to be an old bus. It's ongoing with the No. 148 bus. Tracker is off at least two times per week."

The CTA responded: "All buses are equipped with GPS. Failure of a bus show up on Bus Tracker can occur due to several factors, such as a dropped or weak signal.

If a rider notices a bus that seems to have lost communication, a bus where the estimated arrival times are incorrect or any other problem with the program, they should contact the CTA with information regarding the incident at 888-YOUR-CTA or feedback@transitchicago.com. The information will be forwarded to the Bus Tracker technical team for investigation."
