"I snapped the attached photos [Friday] at the Chicago Avenue Blue line stop. It gets like this every time there is a hard rain.
Because the drainage is so poor, it backs up and sits for days, creating a very unpleasant moldy, musty smell. My biggest concern, however, is that someone is going to slip and fall and really hurt themselves.
The floor is always slick. I find this inexcusable. The whole stop is disgusting in general (dingy, mold on the walls, poor lighting, etc.), but this adds another layer to the problem. Please help."

Why aren't you covering the C.T.A. community meetings?

Since government can't or won't find ways to fund the C.T.A.,here are some possibilities:
*Run a fiber optic cable chase along el lines and subway tunnels. This would allow better access for repair and upgrades.
*Put electric car charging stations in under el parking lots.Environmental grants can pay for this.Charge extra for the electricity. If convential outlets are used, regular cars could use them in subzero weather for block heaters or battery chargers.
*Put"sell phone" machines in stations. These would be vending machines that sold cell phones, phone cards and phone accessories.
