Are you "Google Cool"? Join us on Google Wave.

user-pic
UPDATE: We now do daily waves on our cover stories every week day at 10:30 a.m., and reprint content from there. Get your name in the paper! Follow us @redeyechicago for instructions on how to join. Thanks to Mashable for mentioning us in their write-up on how Google Wave is changing the news.

As a newspaper, we blog, we Facebook, we Twitter, we host tweetups, we have a social media posse and we have virtual cooking contests... but now we will "wave" too!

If you're already on Google Wave, join us in experimenting with the new platform, and commenting on our stories there. You'll find me, Scott and Ernest there interacting with you, too.

How will you find us? Go into your Google Wave, and in the search box type: with:public RedEyeChicago. We should show up there.

Hope to see you 'waving!'

Just wanted to add to this post and say that as soon as we started seeing lots of readers show up in Wave with us, everyone looked at each other in the newsroom with excitement. It was very cool to connect with our readers in a very live kind of way. Hope to see you there, and thanks for waving with us!

Came across this via mashable's tweet. Just participated in the Oprah discussion. Kudos to you guys for jumping on Wave. I wish NYC publications would begin using it.

That dusty link on my browser isn't so useless anymore. Thanks!

It's very cool. Google has a lot of work to do though. Need to get rid of that lag!

Hiya,

Here's a link for your search ;-)
https://wave.google.com/wave/#restored:search:with%253Apublic+RedEyeChicago

or if you wanted only ones with "RedEyeChicago" in the wave title
https://wave.google.com/wave/#restored:search:with%253Apublic+title%253ARedEyeChicago

Love the idea :-)
