Round Three of RedEye's Virtual Kitchen Stadium

Good morning! Your chairwoman here. Things are really heating up--we have Joelen vs. Joey in Matchup No. 1 and Titus vs. Jason in Matchup No. 2. In Week 1 we had Battle Cherry, a celebration of this popular summer fruit. In Week 2, our cooks stepped up to the plate (groan) and tackled tamarind.

What's in store this week for our RedEye chefs? This week I'm challenging you to make an entree with alcohol. Cheers!

You know the drill--create a delicious dish (no desserts as the main, unless you add it as a secondary component) using any kind of booze you like--beer, wine, sake, the hard stuff, whatever floats your boat--and send a brief explanation, recipe and picture to share with our audience watching at home by 8 p.m.--not a minute later! Shortly afterward, I will post your submissions and voting will open. On Thursday, a winner will be named.

Oh, by the way, did I mention this is a vegetarian challenge? Judging from the past couple of weeks, it's been a meat fest. Let's make it a little interesting, i.e. challenging--no meat. Dairy and eggs are acceptable but absolutely no red meat, seafood, pork or poultry or I'm calling fowl, er foul. (double groan)

Good luck! Clock starts ... NOW!

Awesome! As a vegetarian, I'm excited to see what they come up with. I like my booze and my food--combined, they could be a force to be reckoned with! :)
