Perfect way to waste time at work: My favorite green sites

My new favorite blog

I have a new favorite Web site that's dedicated to the environment: New York Times blog Dot Earth.
It's not like most other green blogs I've seen (including mine)--it's far more thorough and scientific. Reporter Andrew Revkin, with the help of a fellowship, tracks and comments on environmentally related stories that range from global warming to politics to polar bears.
The site goes past the everyday tips on green living to the bigger picture: He "examines efforts to balance human affairs with the planet's limits," according to the site. What does that mean, exactly? There are a growing number of people, and fewer and fewer resources. And he, along with many others, are exploring and looking for a middle ground.
The blog definitely isn't for glancing or skimming. There's more information than could be read in one sitting--or 3 for that matter. So, if you want to take the next step into becoming an educated greenie, check out the site--and bookmark it.
