Last month's edition of French Vogue caused an uproar when it used pictures of white model Lara Stone painted head to toe in black make-up for a photo spread.

If Lara Stone didn't think black skin was beautiful she would never have done this respectful and creative photo shoot. It's avant-garde, it's hip, and if you take offense, you just don't get it.
