The White Sox win the World Series - Oct. 25, 2005

The White Sox ended Chicago's World Series drought by sweeping Houston in four games to win the 2005 World Series. The Sox went 11-1 in the playoffs to win their first World Series title since 1917. (Chicago Tribune Photo)
