Global Parking Management Back In The News
It looks like local private booting specialists, Global Parking Management is getting some unwanted media attention via WGN-TV.
Reporter Tom Negovan does a report spotlighting two motorists nabbed by Global Parking. WGN's cameras follow one driver trying to get the boot off his car parked at the Village Thrift lot in Roscoe Village. Surprisingly, he prevails and the boot gets removed. Most likely because of the TV cameras.
Another gentleman, the driver of an organ transplant ambulance, got confused picking up burritos at Burrito House on Addison at Kedzie. He parked in the lot immediately adjacent to the restaurant and came out to find a boot on, and I repeat--his ambulance!
Interesting piece.
Here's the full story and video.

I was booted improperly back in November. To say I was upset would be an understatement. I went through the appeals process and provided evidence supporting my case (photos and video taken from my phone). My booting fee was then.....refunded!
Maybe they aren't such the bad guys everyone makes them out to be. They are providing a service that small businesses absolutely must have. While I don't condone Global booting people who don't deserve it (me in this instance), letting people park whenever and where they want unchecked is not possible in a city like this. Consider it just another reason "city living" isn't all its cracked up to be.
