YAWN!: Vandals Disable 50 Meters On North Side

Allegedly, this is breaking news, even though we reported on this earlier in the week.

Chicago Breaking News is reporting that approximately 50 parking meters in Uptown, Andersonville, and Ravenswood.

Police said the meters are in the 5100 block of North Clark Street, the 5000 block of North Sheridan Road, the 1000 block of West Argyle Street, the 4900 block of North Winthrop Avenue and the 4900 block of North Kenmore Avenue.

Avis LaVelle, spokesperson for Chicago Parking Meters, LLC had no comment on the ongoing meter vandalism, but did explain that "inoperable meters, in most cases are fixed within 48 hours."
