Welcome to The Pace Of Chicago, an Endurance Blog.  If you are lost and looking for the Pace bus schedule, click here.

My name is David Wallach, I will be your cruise director through all of this.

My goal for this blog is a small one, to make it the ultimate resource for endurance athletes across the Chicago area.

If you run, bike, swim, kayak, adventure race or anything else, keep checking back to The Pace to find the latest news, reviews, articles, tips, race results, group rides, runs, masters swims, videos and more.

This baby is going to have new news every day, so make sure to click and click some more.

This is as much your site as it is mine.  With that in mind, I want to hear from YOU Chicago...even those guys in recumbent bikes, lemme hear ya!

In the last few weeks, I have made an effort to talk to as many coaches, clubs, shops and athletes as I could letting them know that The Pace of Chicago is coming and we want their news.

If I missed you I am sorry, don't be insulted and don't be shy, send me your news, results, information about clinics and group events and I will share it with the rest of the "class."

If you have made it this far, I am happy, thank you.

Quickly about me: I started in Triathlon 7 years ago. I have been fortunate enough to write for Inside Triathlon Magazine, Triathlete Magazine, T-Dot Triathlon, was named the Captain of the Inside Triathlon Age Group Team, am an Ironman, a husband, father of two great kids and continue to recover from massive knee surgery.

I have been through it all, and know what a lot of you are going through trying to balance "life" and your passion, the world of endurance sports.

It ain't easy, but it sure is fun.

I am fortunate enough to have access to the best minds in sport and will do my best to seek out these experts when answering your questions. I love to train more than I do race.

I ride a BMC, wear a Garmin 405, hate cold water and would wear a wet suit in the hot tub if it kept me warmer.

That's enough for now.  Welcome!  Let's get to it!
